Take on the full Curragh To Curragh Charity Cycle experience through the heart of Kildare.

10:00am – The Curragh Racecourse

60KM COMMUNITY RIDE

A more relaxed option perfect for casual cyclists who want to enjoy the atmosphere and support a great cause.

11:00am – The Curragh Racecourse

We will finish together back at the Curragh racecourse where we will attempt to break a world record or the most yellow cycling jerseys in one location.

A DAY THAT CHANGES LIVES

What began as the original Coast To Curragh Charity Cycle at The Curragh Racecourse has grown into something truly special — the Pat Smullen Race Day in aid of Cancer Trials Ireland, bringing together communities, cyclists, families, and supporters to help fund hope, research, and life-changing cancer trials across Ireland.

10amBegin cycle at 10am sharp (95km from here to the finish, averaging maybe 26km per hour)
11.30amBrickfield Stud (60km from here to the finish)
12pmRhode Village – food stop (55km from here to the finish)
2.00pmKildangan Stud – food stop (15km from here to the finish)
3.15pmCurragh racecourse (we plan to be there after the 3rd race, there are 8 races in total)
3.40pmCurragh racecourse – we will attmept to break a world record for the most yellow cycling jerseys
Also, at 11amA smaller second group will leave the Curragh at 11am & will cycle 60km in total (a slower average of 20km per hour)
This group is for casual cyclists. Please choose the group that will help you the enjoy the day to its fullest.
Both groups will meet up at Kildangan Stud and then finish at the Curragh together as one large group.
Showers will be available when we arrive back at the Curragh beside our car park. Go racing after the cycle.

Charity Race Day Over 12F

After the cycle, experience the excitement and atmosphere of race day at The Curragh Racecourse, featuring a special charity race run over 12 furlongs in aid of Cancer Trials Ireland.

Get to visit 2 stud farms during the cycle.
All Cyclists have free admission to the races on the day plus they get 2 free tickets if they wish to meet friends there.

Jennifer Hayes’ Story

Jennifer took part in the very first Coast To Curragh Charity Cycle in 2021.

After discovering a cyst on her pancreas just 13 months earlier, Jennifer faced an incredibly difficult journey with remarkable courage and strength.

She shared her story with us to highlight the incredible work carried out by Cancer Trials Ireland and why raising vital funds for cancer research is so important.

Jennifer joined us as Guest of Honour at the charity cycle — a powerful reminder of why this event means so much to so many people.
